This specimen features well-formed octahedral Pyrite crystals in association with Sphalerite from the Huaron district of Peru. The metallic luster of pyrite contrasts with the darker tones of sphalerite, reflecting classic polymetallic hydrothermal vein mineralization. Huaron is respected for producing sharply crystallized sulfide specimens with strong structural definition. A balanced and mineralogically significant piece suited for advanced collectors of fine Peruvian minerals.
