This specimen features well-formed octahedral Pyrite crystals in association with Galena from the Huaron district of Peru. The metallic luster of pyrite contrasts with the darker tones of the lead-gray galena, reflecting classic polymetallic hydrothermal vein mineralization. Huaron is respected for producing sharply crystallized sulfide specimens with strong structural definition. A balanced and mineralogically significant piece suited for advanced collectors of fine Peruvian minerals.
